California may have had a
lot of fuel altereds, but they didn't have a lock on 'em. On these pages, they come from everywhere!
From Colorado to New England!
I received a whole bunch of photos
and related items from Greg Lippard. Turns out, there was a whole little
circuit of injected Fuel Altereds that ran on the East Coast during
the late 60's and early 70's and Greg's father, Phil Lippard was instrumental
in putting this all together, seeing as he owned at least 3 of the cars
on the circuit!
With Greg's help, here are the East
Coast A/Fuel Altereds!

Mean As Hell, Wild Rat, and Stone Crude.
Stone Crude and the Wild Rat square

Stone Crude, defying gravity, and
all common sense...
Yep, he said "Pudge".

A note from Greg Lippard, and a mystery
unearthed/unanswered?
"The picture I sent was the
Roadster Jack car... my father tells me that Jack wrecked the first
car and built this one!"
"The story my dad has is Jack
never got to drive the second car. THe wreck hurt him real bad and his
wife would leave him if he drove the second one.. so he never did....
I would like to know if this story is true? If you have any information
about Jack let me know..."
The first Roadster Jack photos are
on the "Everywhere Else...page 1...
Sure looks like this would have
been a bitchin' car, wonder whatever happened to it? And Roadster Jack?
The East Coast guys hauled out to
the first Fuel Altered Nationals in Tucson in 1973, and gave the blown
cars quite a scare...from what I'm told, they qualified in the top 5!
A early version of the Rosen &
Schumacher Altered Ego fuel altered, apperears to be at Indy, not sure
what year.
